Accommodation & 2 meals included Mountain hut stay A one-night stay at a mountain hut is included. Hiking from 7th and 8th station is the most difficult and hardest point. Since you will stay at Tomoekan located at original 8th station, you can hike there during daytime and take a rest before summit attack.
・Private rooms are limited to groups of two people. ・The plan that guarantees a private room is limited to 5 rooms per day for the total of the standard plan and the plan with gear. ・If you would like to purchase travel insurance, please contact us by e-mail. ・Bringing alcohol drinks inside the accomodation is strictly prohibited. Also, because alcohol may cause high-altitude sickness, we recommend our participants not to drink alcohol during climbing and descending the Mt. FAQ ・Can I use cheaper rainwear and shoes instead of climbing gear? During the Mt. Fuji climbing tour, you'll encounter varied temperatures and weather conditions, from scorching heat to cold winds and sudden rain. It's advisable to use specialized climbing gear made of materials like Gore-Tex for functionality and durability. Gear rental is available with advanced booking.
・Can I join the tour alone or does it have to be a group? Solo participants are welcome, but the private room plan is for groups of two only.
・Can I join the tour from Mt. Fuji's 5th station? No, the tour starts from Shinjuku. Boarding from elsewhere will be considered a no-show.
・How do I choose gear sizes, and can I change them after reservation? Select sizes on the reservation screen, and changes can be made at the rental store on the tour day.
・What precautions should I take when climbing Mt. Fuji? Plan your climb carefully due to altitude and crowding. Follow climbing guidelines, and refer to "About climbing Mt. Fuji" for more information.
・Will the same bus be used for both trips? No, and luggage cannot be left on the bus. Coin lockers are available at the 5th station.
・Can I watch the sunrise from the summit? No, the tour watches it from the 9th station for safety reasons.
・How much money should I bring? About 5,000 yen for expenses like pay toilets and pricey station food.
・Do I need anti-sunburn precautions? Yes, UV rays are strong; sunscreen and sunglasses are necessary.
・How much water should I bring? Start with a liter and refill at mountain huts; aim for 2-3 liters per climb.
